This gorgeous 1941 Ford Deluxe Coupe has been lovingly doted on for years in Del Mar, CA. Having benefited from a complete frame off restoration in 2001 the Deluxe Coupe is in fantastic shape. The current owner purchased it from an extended family member who performed the restoration. Randy Clark at Hot Rods & Stuff performed an exhaustive inspection and attended to anything that needed attention a few years ago. Additional work was performed by B&D Automotive, all receipts included. The Flathead V8 starts easy and runs as effortless as you would expect from a 221 Cu In 3.6 L. This car was restored with a focus on enjoyable driving, it charges up the hills of PCH without hesitation and stops with confidence. The interior is in excellent condition, with unique rear windows that roll up and down, forward and back. Documentation of the frame off restoration, additional manuals and related paraphernalia included. The Coupe is being sold to make room in the garage for another project.
Mayfair Maroon paint is as perfect as you could expect, the Deluxe Coupe was always wiped down and detailed with Maguire’s Mirror Glaze Final inspection detailer after weekend jaunts around Del Mar and Carlsbad, never washed with water. No rust or damage is present and it was never driven in the rain since restored. Chrome and Stainless trim are in fantastic shape, no signs of rust or pitting. Rubber is likewise in exceptional condition and the white wall tires underscore the classic visage.
Reupholstering was done during the frame off restoration, no wrinkles or tears in fabric.
The Flathead V8 roars to life every time and idles smoothly. This is a vehicle that has spent its restored life cruising to the gym and around San Diego primarily on weekends. The three on the tree shifts great and brakes have plenty of stopping power. Suspension items were addressed during the restoration – new bushings throughout.
